General
Will it hurt?
Most clients are comfortable during treatments. For anti wrinkle treatments, I use the latest ultra fine needles for ease and comfort. Most client say to me “I didn’t even feel it Claire”.
Numbing cream can also be applied before treatments but usually isn’t required. Some treatments such as dermal filler have a numbing agent in for extra comfort pre and post procedure.
Will I need a consultation?
Yes. I operate a strict pre treatment consultation and use Aesthetic Nurse Software to record all documentation. I am also ICO registered allowing me to keep your records and data. I will send you electronically a medical questionnaire, consent forms and aftercare which will need signing and returning before treatments are started. I will then assess any medications or pre existing medical conditions. We can also discuss this at the face to face consultation.
Together, we will discuss your concerns and I will complete a thorough facial anatomy and skin assessment. I will advise on the treatments available and price.
Confidentiality.
I run a strict confidentiality policy which has been a large strength of my exclusive clinic over the years. Clients sometimes choose not to tell their family or friends about treatments. Clinic is in a discreet location and times of appointments are such that clients do not ‘bump into each other’. I often discuss and support clients with the aspect of not wanting to tell loves ones about treatments.
What do I need to do before having treatments?
Avoid coffee or caffeinated drinks, avoid alcohol, blood thinners (like aspirin, ibuprofen, and some supplements), and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours to minimize bruising. It's also important to have a clean face free of makeup, stay hydrated, and have a light meal before the appointment. Report any new medications or allergies that have happened since the consultation.
What is the risk of infection?
Infection risk is very low and rare. I use a skin cleansing product before and after treatments. Single use and disposable equipment is used from reputable pharmacy wholesalers. Clinic chair cleaned down between patients. One a needle is withdrawn the injection site usually closes up almost immediately.
What is the aftercare?
Specific after care will be provided depending on which treatment you have. Generally speaking you will need to avoid touching, massaging, or putting pressure on the treated areas to prevent the product from spreading. For the first few hours, stay upright and avoid strenuous exercise, while for the first 24 hours, avoid alcohol, blood-thinning medications, and intense heat like saunas. Gently wash your face with lukewarm water and mild cleanser if needed, and always follow up with any specific instructions from your provider.
Follow up.
All clients are required to come back to clinic for a follow up and review of the treatment. This is usually around the 2 week time period.



Anti-wrinkle Treatment
How safe are anti wrinkle injections?
If injected by a trained registered medical healthcare professional, anti wrinkle injections are considered safe and very effective. As with any medical treatment, there are potential risks and side effects which can be discussed at consultation.
How does anti wrinkle injections work?
Botulinum toxin is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent. It can be used to treat a number of conditions in the body. It can be used in the cosmetic industry to give a temporary improvement in the appearance of vertical lines between the eyebrows seen at maximum frown (glabellar lines) or fan-shaped lines from the corner of the eyes seen at maximum smile (crow’s feet lines) or forehead lines seen at maximum raised eyebrows. Over time it will wear off naturally and lines will re appear. Regular follow up appointments can be arranged for sustained results.
How does the consultation work for anti wrinkle injections?
As of 1st June 2025, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) made it compulsory for a face to face consultation every time anti wrinkle injections are used. Remote issue such as electronic message or video call is not allowed. As all treatments are start with a face to face consultation this is no different to the usual practice in clinic.
Will anti wrinkle injections help with under eye bags or discolouration?
In short the answer is no. Anti wrinkle injections are usually avoided directly under the eye area and eye muscle (orbicularis oculi) as this can lead the eye muscle drooping (ptosis).

What are Polynucleotides?

Dermal Filler
What is filler?
Filler is made up of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a sugar naturally produced by the body that retains moisture in the skin. I only use FDA approved fillers indicated to treat up to 10 different areas of the face. Each product adds volume to help achieve your unique aesthetic goals.
How does it work?
Filler has an ability to absorb and hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Due to its incredible ability to hydrate, it is often used in eye serums to treat dry eyes, and in moisturising products for the face and other areas. As it is already naturally present in the body and is a highly biocompatible substance. When used in aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid is transformed into a transparent gel and can be adapted to treat a variety of different needs: Volume loss, skin hydration and wrinkle filling.
Profhilo
Profhilo is a ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHCO technology. This results is a unique hyaluronic acid gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. It also stimulates the skin cell receptors to conteract skin laxity and inprove abd restore firmness.
Where can Profhilo be injected?
Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the decolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would be effectively treat skin laxity.
How long do results last?
The effects of Profhilo generally last up to six months, although this can differ based on individual factors like age, skin condition, and metabolism. Many clients notice significant improvements in hydration, texture, and elasticity during this period, with results gradually tapering off.
Regular maintenance treatments help prolong these effects, keeping your clients’ skin youthful and refreshed year-round.
How Often Should You Have a Profhilo Treatment?
The recommended treatment regimen for Profhilo injections varies depending on the client’s skin condition. On average, two treatment sessions of Profhilo, spaced four weeks apart, are recommended. Maintenance top-ups follow this initial treatment period at three to six-month intervals. This, again, depends on the client’s needs, skin condition, and aesthetic goals.
The frequency of these top-up treatments varies depending on various factors, including the level of skin ageing and the client’s desired results. Some clients may choose to have top-up treatments every three months, while others may wait a full six months.
How Long Between Profhilo Treatments?
Profhilo sessions should be spaced four weeks apart during the initial treatment phase. This allows the hyaluronic acid to effectively hydrate and stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Top-up sessions are recommended for maintenance every three to six months, depending on individual goals and skin condition. Spacing treatments appropriately ensures optimal, long-lasting results without overloading the skin.
Professional Peels.
What Is a Professional Peel?
Unlike your weekly at-home scrub, a chemical or professional peel is an in-clinic, acid-based resurfacing treatment formulated to exfoliate your skin on a deeper level, revealing a healthier, younger-looking complexion.
What's It Like to Get a Professional Peel?
A professional peel begins similarly to other facial treatments. After pulling back your hair, a skin care professional will clean your face before applying the peel with a saturated cotton ball, sponge, brush, or gauze. You may experience tingling or a stinging sensation for 15 to 20 minutes.
You may experience redness, irritation, and peeling for approximately four to seven days after a medium peel and seven to 21 days after a deep peel.
How Do You Care for Your Skin after a Professional Peel?
Avoid scheduling a professional peel before a special event, especially if it's medium or deep, since you'll experience some downtime. Don't worry—the results are worth the wait!
Microneedling
Will I be comfortable?
There may be brief minimal discomfort from the tiny needles. However, the depth of the needles will be tailored to your needs.
Is there a risk of infection?
Since Microneedling treatment involves needle prick there is a theoretical risk of developing an infection. This is exceedingly rare and strict hygiene measures are used in clinic.
What is the downtime?
Everyone’s skin reacts regenerates at a different pace. The redness usually begins to fade after 24 hours.
